Polar Express Pajama Party
Please join us on Thursday, December 17, 2015 at 1:30 p.m. for our class’ celebration.  We are so excited for our Polar Express Pajama Party.  Your child is welcome to bring a pillow and wear pajamas. Your child should still wear regular school shoes to school, but can bring house slippers to wear in the classroom!
We are going to be snuggled up in our PJs, watching the movie, drinking cocoa, decorating cookies, and doing lots of fun Polar Express themed activities.  If you can, please click  under our classroom links on the left side of this page and sign up for goodies to bring to the party!!

Please join us for back to school night on Thursday, August 20th from 5:30-700 pm.
Our Classroom Orientation will be held on Monday, August 31st from 6:00-7:00 pm.This will be a great opportunity for me to explain our classroom expectations, and provide helpful homework information.

Second Grade Scholars! 

My name is Angela Silvas and I am very excited to be teaching second grade here at Wells Branch Elementary! I am from Corpus Christi Texas and this will be my fourth year teaching second grade. After I graduated from Texas A&M University in Corpus Christi, I moved to Round Rock and I absolutely love the area.

          Second grade is a crucial time for a child’s development. The growth and learning that students experience at this age will provide a foundation for them to build on for the rest of their educational career.Students will have the opportunity to voice ideas and opinions as they develop new knowledge. 

This will be a very special year because the scholars in my class will have the opportunity to share, explore and grow while using innovative technology. My students will participate in a district wide program called The Next Generation Digital Classroom! We will incorporate the use of technology daily in order to better prepare student to be successful in today’s digital world.  

I encourage all students to be “Scholars”. Not just academically but also in their daily behaviors.   I believe that all students have the ability to succeed. I am very excited to learn about the person that your child is, and to work with you and your child to make this a successful year.
