Second Grade Scholars!
My name is Angela Silvas and I am very excited to be teaching second grade
here at Wells Branch Elementary! I am from Corpus Christi Texas and this will
be my fourth year teaching second grade. After I graduated from Texas
A&M University in Corpus Christi, I moved to Round Rock and I absolutely
love the area.
Second
grade is a crucial time for a child’s development. The growth and learning that
students experience at this age will provide a foundation for them to build on
for the rest of their educational career.Students will have the opportunity to voice ideas
and opinions as they develop new knowledge.
This
will be a very special year because the scholars in my class will have the
opportunity to share, explore and grow while using innovative technology. My
students will participate in a district wide program called The Next Generation
Digital Classroom! We will incorporate the use of technology daily in order to
better prepare student to be successful in today’s digital world.
I encourage all students to be “Scholars”. Not just academically but
also in their daily behaviors. I believe that all students have the ability to succeed. I am very
excited to learn about the person that your child is, and to work with you and your
child to make this a successful year.
